[ Okay, so Leo knows he messed up. He feels bad about it, especially with a friend involved. But maybe dropping by isn’t the best plan, or so he’s wondering by the time he reaches Penelope’s door. It’s not like he’s ever been good at talking about sensitive stuff like… whatever happened with Pen and those flowers, but. She’s his friend and this whole thing sucks so here he is anyway.
God, he’s bad at this. Whatever, he’s knocking anyway. ]
[Honestly Leo is probably overthinking this, at least somewhat. Yeah, she'd been hurt by the flowers, but she wasn't mad at Leo because of that. He hadn't known and she was reasonable enough not to blame him for that stuff.
Either way, she appears at the door and opens it, gesturing him into her place.]
Yeah, was just working on costume stuff and running a couple of diagnostics. Come on in. I was expecting you though.
[She waves a hand around the living space, which is...pretty geeky and covered in computers and costume stuff. Nothing fancy, but definitely a home like Penelope would have.]
[ He may not be good at this talking about feelings or anything like that, but Leo figured he should at least try to make it up to her? Or something. Look, he’s just here because Penelope is his friend and she basically invited him over anyway.
And he… might be a little curious about what the flowers brought up that bothered her, but he’s not going to just say that. At least not yet. ]
What kind of diagnostics?
[ He makes himself at home flopping in the first chair he finds. ]
And yeah, if you’ve got Mt. Dew or something, I’ll take it.
[She waves off towards a couple of computers, shrugging and walking into the kitchen.]
Nothing important, just a deep scan of my registry on the NAS, checking for bad sectors. You want the red, the orange, or the normal?
[Yeah, she keeps all three. It's not like her veins aren't overflowing with Dew or anything.]
Sorry about the mess, by the way. Working on my costume for Kaiba's con has been an ordeal. Especially since the character has green hair and...well...
Yeah, I guess. I had a wig bought and everything, but then it turned grey along with everything else. You remember that old anime Enrage, right? I'm going as Shierkey, the witch.
[She plucks out one of the red ones for him, and an orange for herself, tossing him one over. Heading back into the living room she flumps down onto one of the couches and sighs.]
Anyway, sorry I came off as a little harsh earlier.
[That much she will say. Since he came all the way here to talk about that incident, clearly.]

[ when has Leo ever passed up the opportunity for extra sugar. ]
If you think this is a mess, you should see our garage at home.
[ it’s a different kind of mess, maybe, but still a disaster zone if you don’t know where to step. and it’s not all Leo’s fault, either. ]
So are you just gonna go with gray hair, or what?
